INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: D-Aspartic Acid

D-Aspartic Acid, commonly referred to as DAA, is an amino acid that naturally occurs in both vertebrates and invertebrates (i.e. main dietary sources are from meat). DAA has become a cult favorite as a natural option to boost testosterone and has held the number one spot on our Top 10 Test Boosters list for several consecutive years.
The specific structure of DAA has been linked to hormonal production, specifically hormones in the brain that increase the release of testosterone and growth hormone 1. It’s also connected to increased protein synthesis 4, which could ultimately mean greater strength gains and quicker recovery via increased Luteinizing Hormone and Growth Hormone – both of which stimulate testosterone production. DAA While this all sounds great in theory, why should you look at a natural testosterone booster when more aggressive options exist? One study showed that men experienced a 42% increase in testosterone levels in just 12 days of consistent use 2. But what about longer usage? Research seems even more promising, as a study of men aged 27-43 using DAA consistently for 90 days experienced increases in testosterone of up to 60% 3. That same study showed no adverse side effects associated with DAA supplementation. In fact, DAA is often used in conjunction with another Post Cycle Therapy after an anabolic cycle because of its propensity to help raise natural testosterone production 5.
